Reading-room proofing visit

Sixty or ninety minutes · 73 Newmarket Road,Hawthorpe,PE10 6RD,United Kingdom

Gallery wall with framed pictures

Who it is for

Collectors who want to see paper before they spend on a family edition, and commissioners who prefer to argue about a balloon placement in person.

What happens in the hour

You sit at the downstairs table. Tom lays out pencils, a colour hold, and a sample colophon. Ellis can join for script questions if the visit is booked as ninety minutes. We will not rush you through a sales deck. The hour is for looking.

Included

  • Tea or coffee
  • Handling of current drop sheets with cotton gloves
  • A written note of any changes you request, emailed the same day

Not included

A finished commission started during the visit, or photography of unpublished pencils for social posts. You may photograph signed, issued sheets.

Preparation

Tell us if you need the step into the room pointed out; the light box lives against the garden wall and the path can be damp. Bring any family photographs you already know should feed a commission.

Price

Visit fees are on Rates. The fee is deducted from a commission booked within six weeks of the visit.

Next step

Request a preferred date on the brief form. We confirm by email. If the table is already booked that morning, we offer the next clear afternoon rather than stacking visitors.
