These terms govern use of https://cloudcontrolbase.click and any commission, numbered drop, splash, or reading-room visit you request from Cloudcontrol Base, of 73 Newmarket Road,Hawthorpe,PE10 6RD,United Kingdom. By sending a brief or using the site, you accept them.

Who we are

Cloudcontrol Base draws and issues sequential family editions in the Fantastic Four retro-futurist register, paired with numbered tokens and archival sheets. We are a studio, not a publisher of another company’s monthly line, and not a reseller of anyone else’s tokens.

Commissions and acceptance

A brief is an enquiry until we write back to accept it and state a deposit. We may decline a likeness, a plot, or a page count that we cannot finish to the standard described on the commission pages. Acceptance is in writing by email from hello@cloudcontrolbase.click.

Intellectual property

Pencils, inks, lettering, colour holds, scripts, colophons, and the composition of each edition remain the copyright of Cloudcontrol Base unless a signed letter says otherwise. You receive the numbered sheet and the token described in the acceptance email, and a personal display licence for that sheet. You may not reproduce the edition for sale, mint additional tokens, or treat unused pencils as your own artwork. Third-party characters and names appear as original sequential fiction in a family-edition register; nothing here grants you rights in anyone else’s marks.

Tokens and sheets

The token is minted after you sign the print proof. It records the same number as the colophon. We are not a wallet provider. You are responsible for the address you give us for minting. If you lose access to that address, we do not re-issue the number.

Visits

Reading-room visits are by confirmed appointment at the studio address. Unpublished pencils may not be photographed. Issued sheets may be photographed.

Liability

We take care with postage and with the mill. If a sheet arrives damaged, we replace it from printers’ proofs where a spare exists, as described on the refund page. We are not liable for losses that arise from your wallet, from a third-party marketplace, or from a delay you cause by withholding proof comments. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Site use

Do not misuse the site, scrape it in a way that impairs other visitors, or submit briefs on behalf of someone who has not asked you to. Content is provided so you can understand our work; it is not legal, investment, or collecting advice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, which is the governing law of GB as it applies to this studio.

Changes

We may update these terms for new edition types. The date of the current version is 14 August 2026. Continued use after a change posted on this page constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
